The Tories continue to outpace all of their rivals in fundraising, according to new data released by Election Canada.
They raised $10.7 million in the first three months of 2024, the agency said.
That’s more than the Liberals, NDP, Green Party, Bloc Quebecois and People’s Party of Canada combined.
Those parties raised:
Liberals: $3.1 million
NDP: $1.35 million
Greens: $401,000
Bloc: $343,000
People’s Party: $240,000
The Conservatives’ funds came from 51,000 contributors, while the Liberals’ came from 27,661.
The NDP, meanwhile, received cash from 14,699 donors.
The Greens had 4,456 contributors, the Bloc 2,149 and the People’s Party 3,024.
Earlier this year, Elections Canada revealed the Tories had raised $35.2 million in 2023 compared to the Liberals’ $15.6 million and the NDP’s $6.8 million.
The party has been ahead – recently by about 20 points – in all major polls so far in 2024.
A federal election must take place on or before Oct. 20, 2025.
